1. Which AI is Best for You?

There are lots of AIs available now …. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemeni, Perplexity, etc. So which one is best for you? Which one is best for a specific project? If there was only a way to quickly and easily compare their answers!

Now there is! Plaground AI allows you to type in a prompt and get the response from all of these AIs. You can then easily compare their outputs side-by-side.

This allows anyone to easily and quickly determine which AI is right for them. I think this will be especially helpful for those who have unusually difficult questions, such as those that are very niche-specific. 

2. Automated Job Search

We’ve all been there. You’re looking through the help wanted ads trying to find jobs that fit your background and desired position. Tedious! Then you have to submit an application or resume and sometimes that requires a cover letter. Ugh.

Now with Sonara this can all be automated. It will scan millions of job listings and identify those that match your profile and preferences. It will even automatically submit applications for you. If a cover letter is requested, it will draft it and submit it too! Just fill out a one-time questionnaire and it will submit up to 15 job applications each day.

While I haven’t tried this, this seems like a pretty cool idea for most people. I think it’s especially helpful for people looking for a more generic position (e.g., manager). However, if there are only a few positions in your city that meet your criteria (e.g., 3-4), I doubt you’d want to use AI because you can’t afford to lose an opportunity if AI makes a mistake.

3. The Future of Computing is Here

This is a big deal! Microsoft is putting it’s AI (Copilot) into PCs. Of course, that was unexpected. However, it’s not just going to be a chatbot that you can ask questions. Some of the features are really going to change how we use the PC.

The first is screen sharing. In short, the AI can can see your screen and understand what your viewing.  This allows it to help you with apps and answer questions about videos you watch in real time.

The second is called Recall, which allows you to search for anything. For example, you can search for anything you have seen on the internet, even if you’ve already closed all your tabs. Of course, you can also search for anything on your computer.

CoPilot will also allow you to create agents to automate tasks. Obviously, huge, but yet unknown, repercussions. Announcement here.

Preorders will be accepted starting June 18.

This is a big deal. One key question is privacy. And this question has yet to be answered satisfactorily.

4. AI-Created Popups to Smash Sales

They’re annoying but they work. Popups have become an (annoyingly) integral part of the web experience. But they can be a pain for businesses to create.

1. OpenAI Dissolves Safety Team after Top 2 Execs Resign. Probably not good as commercial success is apparently being prioritized over safety.

2.  Scarlett Johansson shocked by how similar AI chatbot sounds to her (after she declined to allow OpenAI to use her voice). Her attorneys have asked OpenAI how the 4o voice was created. Uh oh.
