1. Must Have Tool!

I’ve been using MyMind for a while and love it! It replaces bookmarks and does so much more. It’s a Chrome extension and phone app. If you see a webpage you like, you add it to MyMind with a click of a button - just like a bookmark. But you can also add other things like a tweet, a photo, or a product. You can highlight a paragraph on any webpage and add it as well.

The best part is that MyMind organizes all your content in an easy-to-navigate manner. Tweets look like tweets. Highlighted text looks like highlighted text, etc. And everything is searchable! And I don’t mean it’s searchable if it includes the right text. It can search images so you just search “chairs” and it will show you all the pictures of chairs that you saved. Highly recommend!

2. Your AI Calendar

More and more AI calendars are popping up. They are used to help you be more productive, more efficiently schedule calls/meetings, and organize your time.

Vimcal claims to be the fastest way to share availabilities and that it’s really an executive assistant disguised as a calendar. They use a merge of both sending links and time slots. They claim users can save 3 hours per week, which is huge. App is for Apple only though.

Mayday is another AI calendar. The more you use it the smarter it gets. It looks at scheduling preferences and patterns to find the best times for everything you schedule. Definitely worth a look.

Magical is yet another app that allows you to check your calendar without switching tabs. It also will generate meeting notes, recommend actions and act as your meeting assistant. It syncs to Notion as well.

3. Your Professional Product Photographer

If you sell products, you need pictures of those products. You can ship the products to a company to take product photos. Or you can get some lighting and backgrounds and take them yourself. Now there’s another way. Magic Studio allows you to upload your photo of the product and put it in any background. Here’s one I created of a bottle of coke. Pretty cool and super easy.

Magic Studio also allows you to modify images by removing things in an image, changing the background, enlarging a picture without losing quality, and creating profile pictures (e.g., you can be a cowboy, an astronaut, a Viking, etc.).

4. Death to Stock Photos

In the “old days” we had to pay for stock photos. Now there are other options. Because AI can generate photos almost for free, the cost of photos is scaling toward zero.

Every Pixel has collections of free photos generated from AI by their team. Search and download. Easy peasy.

Accomplice helps you make royalty-free photos and graphics while also saving time and money. You type in some text of what you want and it generates the photo. This is a very user-friendly app (compared to Midjouney and other such platforms). It also can create logos so give it a look.

In the News…

  1.  Meta is preparing chatbots for its platform (Facebook). The intent is to better engage and retain users. Doordash, Uber and Instacart are doing the same.

  2.  Hollywood studios are doubling down on AI. AI could be (is being?) used to write scripts, automate distribution, create the soundtrack, and even create motion video. So Netflix and others are pounding the pavement to find the best talent.
