We’ve all been there… copying data from one webpage into a Google sheet. Or maybe sending almost the same email over and over. Or copying data from one Chrome tab to a web page in another.

Now there’s an easier way using Magical AI. It’s good for data entry, research, crafting emails, writing, etc. Includes free tier for 20 automation and unlimited tier at $6.50/mo.

I think this is a great use of AI. However, I’m not sure I’d pursue the business because I suspect Google will be implementing this as a built-in feature. The question is can you get a loyal customer base before Google does so. Or perhaps include features that Google won’t (unlikely I think)?

2. AI Interview Simulator

Your resume passed the gatekeepers and you’ve gotten the interview. Now just don’t fumble the ball. But how do you prepare for the interview? Of course, you’ll research the company again, but what else can you do?

Well, now you can use AI to prepare. I’ve seen other interview prep services but this one (InterviewwithAI) is a bit different because the simulation is custom. In other words, you paste in the job description and it will simulate the interview, determine what you need to learn, and provide you feedback at the end. So the simulation will be different if you are interviewing for a position as a data scientist vs an insurance agent vs an engineer.

I think this a great idea. The next iterations of these types of services will also use LinkedIn (and maybe Facebook) to determine with whom you might interview, what their hobbies are, where they went to school, find common friends, etc.

3. AI Customer Review Responder

Business owners know (or should know) that they should respond to customer reviews - especially complaints. Failure to do so will give others the impression that the business doesn’t care about the complaint. The problem is that many business owners are super busy and often don’t have the bandwidth or personnel to promptly respond to customer reviews.

No there’s help from AI with TalkBackAI. You can define the tone and use real-life examples of how you want to respond to reviews. Includes a free tier.

This is a cool idea but it’s not automated. You still have to click the review and it will then generate 4 responses. You then select the response and it gets published. Obviously, an automated one would be much better. Where else could AI be used to communicate with customers?

4. My AI Project

As you may recall, I’m creating a SaaS for a niche industry to follow up with customers using AI. Currently, it emails customers and replies to their emails. It’s starting to kinda sound like a person and not AI, which is a good thing.

The problem is what happens when the person asks a question that the AI cannot answer. Well, we gave the AI instructions to reply with the words “NEED SALES REP”. The problem should be fixed right? Wrong!

While testing the AI asks me if I can come in for a cup of coffee and to look at the inventory. I responded that I needed to check with my wife. The AI responded with “NEED SALES REP.” It did this even though we explicitly stated in the AI instructions how this specific reply (and others) should be responded to.

So I guess we’re going to have to break the logic down using python and leave less up to the AI. Nothing valuable is ever easy.
